2019 Women’s March on Washington | Freedom Plaza, January 19
The 2017 Women’s March inspired hundreds of women to run, millions more to vote, and dozens to win elected office. The 2019 Women’s March marks two years of resistance to the Trump presidency, two years of training new activists, and two years of building power. And this time, we’re coming back with an agenda.

Fire and Ice Festival | District Wharf, January 19th
Join The Wharf for the second annual Fire & Ice Festival, featuring the WAFF Ice House. From 2 to 5 pm, they’ll turn up the heat with a DJ, whiskey sampling stations, fire twirlers, and an ice sculptor. Plus the day wouldn’t be complete without s’mores by the firepit!
The Official Hip Hop Museum Launch Party | Culturehouse (Blind Whino), January 18th
The Hip-Hop Museum will kick-off it’s very first pop-up experience as it kicks-off a month-long gallery show and one-night concert featuring The Sugarhill Gang, Trouble Funk, Melle Mel and Grandmaster Caz to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of “Rapper’s Delight” (the world’s first commercial hip-hop single).

38th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade | Intersection of Good Hope Rd. & Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. SE, January 21st
The 38th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade will assemble at the intersection of Good Hope Rd. & Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. SE. The parade will proceed up MLK Ave. to The Gateway Pavilion. At the end of the route the will be a Community Resource & Health Fair.
Made in the DMV Conference | DC Dream Center, January 19th
The Made Conference act as a “Day of Service” for the DMV arts & businesses community . The goal of the conference is to bring together industry experts in Entertainment, Technology, Arts & Humanities and provide them with an opportunity to ‘reach back’ by presenting ideas and speaking on topics that cover a wide range of subjects while providing an opportunity for emerging entrepreneurs, artists, & creatives of Washington, DC to advance in their industries.
